Police calls for December 19 – 26 compiled from information provided by the Police Department.

Dec. 19

12:44 a.m. – Juvenile problem at East Elm Street. Underage drinking in vacant white house across from basketball courts. Unable to locate.

6:55 a.m. – Minor accident reported in the 3400 block of North Preston Road. Car ran off road and is in ditch. Unable to locate.

9:18 a.m. – Juvenile problem reported in the 400 block of East Ash Street. Daughter will not give her mom keys to mom’s car. Family does not want mom to drive due to a safety issue. Relative gave mom a ride. Situation resolved.

10:08 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported at Farm-to-Market Roads 455 and 478. Person sleeping in car. Unable to locate.

1:34 p.m. – Suspicious person reported in the 12000 block of Farm-to-Market Road 428. Person has been sitting in car at park for hours. F1.s completed.

4:23 p.m. – Reckless driver in black Ford van reported at County Road 55 and Preston. Unable to locate

7:02 p.m.. – Suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of North Louisiana Drive. Vehicle at closed business. Was dropping off trailer, had keys to gate. No problems observed.

7:07 — Motorist assist at Louisiana and Poplar. Vehicle on side of roadway, subject under hood. Situation resolved. Had loose batter cable, problems resolved, driver continued to his destination.

Dec. 20

12:16 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle at Oklahoma and Pecan. Vehicle stopped in roadway, then when officer approached appeared to be driving slowly circling area. Bowl was left on back of vehicle when they drove off. Circled area until dish was located. Situation resolved.

1:05 a.m. – Open door on new construction home reported in the 2500 block of Appaloosa Lane. No one inside. Task completed.

12:07 p.m. – 911 hang-up reported in the 1200 block of Stanford Lane. 911 open line. Appears to be a malfunction of emergency phone located in pool area.

12:36 p.m. – Welfare check on resident not coming to door in the 300 block of South Texas Drive. Resident was located and all is well.

3:52 p.m. – 911 hang-up in the 1200 block of Stanford Lane. 911 hang-up call from pool area. Unknown cause. Appears to be a malfunction.

6:36 p.m. – Parking violation reported in the 500 block of Mustang Trail. Vehicle parked facing wrong way. Verbal warning, advised resident of violation.

8:23 p.m. – Harassment in the 200 block of South Virginia Drive. Reporting Person states someone keeps calling her phone. She would like to speak to an officer. Does not appear anyone is at City Hall at this time. Will pass information on to day shift to make contact about calls.

Dec. 21

7:25 a.m. – Motorist assist reported in the 200 block of South Preston Road. Vehicle with flat tire. Driver said she was waiting for someone to bring her a tire.

11:04 a.m. – Juvenile problem in the 900 block of County Road 94. Walk-in at Police Department. Reporting Person says that young juveniles have been causing mischief around his property and around pond behind his house. Juveniles cuss at the RP and then run off. Follow-up required. RP didn’t want to file charges, just wanted to know if we could talk to juveniles if they return. Advised him to call if they return and we would speak to them.

11:37 a.m. – Burglary reported in the 700 block of South Preston Road. Someone broke into a storage unit. Unknown suspects broke into a storage unit and stole tools and electronics.

6:29 p.m. – Motorist assist in the 2700 block of South Preston Road. Gray Dodge parked on shoulder with hazard lights on. Driver stated that his truck overheated and he is letting it cool off so he can finish driving home.

6:49 p.m. – Open door reported in the 600 block of South Colorado Drive. Reporting Person stated when she got home someone opened her garage. She does not know if they ever made it into the house. House was clear.

7:47 p.m. – Assist other agency at Preston and Frontier. Two-car major blocked traffic. Task completed.

Dec. 22

1:26 a.m. – Assist other agency at Preston and Autry. Gunter officer requesting cover for traffic stop. Celina EMS transported driver to hospital.

9:23 a.m. – Traffic hazard at Louisiana and Elm. Jeep stuck on railroad tracks. Jeep was removed with back hoe.

11:01 a.m. – Assist other agency at 200 block of South Preston Road. Back up Prosper on traffic stop. Referred to another agency. White male in custody.

11:32 p.m. – Motorist assist at County Road 88 and Preston. Grand Marque on side of road with hazards on. Spoke to driver. They have flat tire, help on the way.

Dec. 23

8:49 a.m. – 911 hang-up reported in the 1200 block of Stanford Lane. 911 hang-up from pool area. Located several subjects in cars at location, F1s completed. 911 call from inside locked pool area appears to have been malfunction.

10:54 a.m. – Harassment reported in the 500 block of South Louisiana Drive. Reporting Person upset because neighbor in adjoining duplex called landlord. No offense occurred. Advised RP that landlord contact is a civil issue.

11:05 a.m. – Loose livestock at Ash and Oklahoma. Three loose cows. Unable to locate cows. Notified owner. He will respond and check on his cows.

3:37 p.m. – Criminal mischief reported in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Paint balls hit Reporting Person’s garage door and brick. Offense report completed.

7:08 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported in the 1700 block of South Preston Road. Vehicle outside of closed business. Was an agent working on paperwork. No problems.

7:55 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported in the 2600 block of Twelve Oaks Lane. Vehicle driving with no lights on Twelve Oaks. Did not locate any vehicles driving area without headlights.

9:41 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported in the 8300 block of County Road 128. Vehicle pulled into church parking lot. Driver had pulled over to use cell phone.

Dec. 24

3:45 a.m. – City code violation in the 12000 block of Farm-to-Market Road 428. Vehicle in park after close. Driver had been drinking and after leaving his house a few blocks away felt like he should not be driving. He was given a ride home.

8:25 a.m. – Missing person reported in the 4000 block of Meadow Vista Circle. Reporting Person advised his mom was to drive out of town and now can’t be reached. Referred to Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

1:18 p.m. – 911 hang-up in the 700 block of Dickerson Circle. False alarm. Resident may have dropped her phone. No problem at location.

5:03 p.m. – Extra patrol at 200 block of East Pecan Street. Juvenile in parking lot had skateboard, was not skateboarding at the time. Spoke with him and he was waiting for his mother. Said he would not skateboard on the lot while waiting.

6:19 p.m. – 911 hand-up in the 300 block of East Main Street. Subject was on phone with her sister, unknown how 911 got called. No problems at residence.

Dec. 25

10:53 a.m. – Abandoned vehicle in the 900 block of County Road 94. Vehicle has flat tire, off roadway. Will monitor.

12:31 p.m. – Assist fire department with injured person reported in the 100 block of North Ohio Drive.

2:19 p.m. – Loose livestock at Oklahoma and Ash. Two loose black cows. Owner responded and put cows back in fence.

3:14 p.m. – Loose livestock at Preston and County Road 83. Cow returned to pasture.

5:18 p.m. – Welfare check at Louisiana and Maple. Subject on corner with suitcases appears to be upset. Subject was at daughter’s house, daughter started drinking and became verbally belligerent. Subject had called taxi.

5:25 p.m. – Juvenile problem at Saddlebred and Mustang. Two kids on motorcycles speeding through neighborhood. Complainant almost ran them over. They are making big loop around Carter Ranch. Checked area, did not locate motorcycle.

5:28 p.m. – Motorist assist at Preston and County Road 53. Vehicle on side of road with a flat. Driver had someone en route to help with tire.

5:55 p.m. – Noise complaint in the 300 block of Tarpan Trail. Reporting Person states there is dog barking at this address, would like officer to ask owners to make it be quiet. Officer arrived within one minute of dispatch. No dogs barking. Sat in front of residence for 5 minutes with camera on. No dogs barking in area.

8:08 p.m. – Noise complaint reported in the 500 block of South Arkansas Drive. Next door neighbors having party in backyard, loud music. Could not locate any music or parties on South Arkansas.

11:25 p.m. – Suspicious person at Preston and Frontier. Male subject in red jacket and jeans walking close to street. Subject was off edge of shoulder in grass. He did not want ride to his destination.

Dec. 26

1:13 p.m. – Criminal mischief in the 200 block of Tolleson Drive. Reporting Person had fence damaged. Wind blew gate open and damaged locking mechanism. No offense occurred.
